Tanios is the story of a family, of gatherings, of simple souvenirs from a sleepy village in the north of Lebanon. Tanios is a borderless interlude, one to celebrate, eat and drink. Tanios is my Grand-Father.

Sumac is magic! Made from ground and dried red velvety berries, sumac is a tangy spice with a sour, acidic flavor reminiscent of lemon juice. Try it on eggs and you’ll understand how magnificent sumac is!
Wild zaatar is punctuated by seasonality, it is picked early in the summer to be later savoured throughout the year. More intense in smell and taste, it is also recognised by its lighter colour than that of cultivated zaatar.
