Sumac

6.00

Sumac is made from ground and dried red velvety berries. It is a tangy spice with a sour, acidic flavor reminiscent of lemon juice.
Our sumac is carefully picked around August/ September and dried slowly in the sun while being protected from the night humidity. When ready, it is ground in a local cooperative in the village of Andket (Akkar/ Lebanon).
And we can say when life doesn’t give you lemon, well use sumac!
